Miss Sherry? This is Walter. Come to think of it, I never did introduce myself to you properly...
Either way, I found something that might help with those nightmares of yours if they're giving you too much trouble. The Elphame Traders stop by Camelot for a little while each month. They have an enchanted rock in their wares that is supposed to ward off nightmares.
They have a lot of other interesting things, too. You might consider taking Miss Claire with you for a trip next time they're in the city.
It's one of the least expensive things they have. They have a lot of other unusual things, too. I picked up a potion and a recipe for a spell that lets me grow potatoes in almost no time at all.
[After Sherry had a million questions. More than a million. Well, probably not that many. But she held off on asking them. If Claire's arm was hurt, typing must have been hard...]
Okay.
[She could ask them after Claire was okay. And home.]
[Claire made it back in good time. The Dog came in first, spectral body floating through the door, and opening it with his teeth. And then Claire, looking exhausted and holding her left arm, shambled inside. She had a wrap around it, covering it and keeping it from bleeding too much, but there was more than a little bit of blood seeping through.
Shaking her head to clear it, she looked around for her...child? Friend? she was still thinking about that.]
[Sherry had definitely not been pacing around the apartment for what felt like forever after that text. Definitely not. At all. But she did bolt towards the door when it was opened, stopping only to make sure she didn't run into the dog.]
What happened?
[She asked urgently, frowning at Claire's wrapped up arm.]
[She'd seemed pretty harmless when Sherry had noticed her on the phones...]
Why would she... [Sherry's thoughts were very easily derailed when she was worrying, clearly, but she shook her head as if to knock the thoughts aside. Instead she helped to steady Claire (unnecessarily, really) as she guided her over to the table.]
[Claire shook her head, sliding out of the hug and moving over to the chair. She sat down, laying her injured arm flat on the table. Breathing out with a hissing sound, she nodded.]
Someone here hurt someone she loved back home. I don't know the whole story. But I got her calmed down.
Oh. [Sherry didn't know what to say about that. Sometimes things here were...kind of awful. More often than sometimes, honestly. She didn't want to go back to a city full of zombies but...it wasn't as simple a choice anymore.]
I... [She winced as she Claire stretched her arms out, her eyes locked onto the deep gashes in her skin.]
It still hurts, right?
[She said as she stepped closer. She'd been reading about injuries a lot lately, and she knew nerve damage was bad. She was pretty sure she could heal it but still.]
[Claire isn't going to deny it. She's relying on Sherry, and she has this feeling that Sherry probably needs to do this. Just to feel empowered in some way.]
I know you can do it, Sher. That's why I called you first.

Thanks! I can go look. Uh. Is it expensive?

[No sense in denying that.]
Sorry to scare you, kiddo.
